The description perfectly demonstrates why the Eldar are so sad. They can't even insult each other or give threats without making it fancy. A human would have either just killed the other guy straight away or said something I won't type.
Great work here. I just started painting some scourge and I'm using this as the inspiration for their color scheme (hope you don't mind!). I'm thinking I might try to make a diorama version as well... when I find the time.
I agree, though the picture looks great, the Hawk doesn't really look like he's engaged in a fight. The scourge mask looks great in particular, it's very different to the GW models, but looks great. It's less stylised than the models, more clearly birdlike.
awesome work, loving your eldar pics. Is there any way you could do some more craftworlder pics? Your dark eldar work is great and all, but I would love to see more eldar stuff.
As a side note, I seriously hope when the eldar codex gets redone they look at the scourges for how to make the swooping hawks good again. I love the concept of the hawks, but they have suffered badly during 5th edition.
I am not asking for shard carbines or heat lances as they are dark eldar weapons, but I think allowing 2 models in 5 to have shuriken cannons, fusion guns or haywire blasters would be fine.
I guess this flies in the face of eldar convention that the aspect warriors all have identical weapons, but GW needs to allow the eldar a bit of flexibility for them to compete in the modern age of 40K. Either that or make their basic weapons better than a slightly improved lasgun. That is not worth 21pts in my book, even with the aspect warrior statline and jump infantry.
That would be awesome! Do you take commissions? I have a new Aspect Warrior of the Eldar. They're called Soulless Shadows. Basically they are chose from among the Exarchs to have their soul removed and placed in the Webway while still retaining control of their bodies. There were supposed to be one per craftworld but only seven have survived. They were created to combat the Nightbringer directly. Powerful enough to wipe out entire squads of Space Marines. More info to follow if you do take commissions.
hey I wasn't checking new deviations for some short time - and you made 6 new amazing ones! HOW you could draw so quick and have your pictures so genially drawn? Oh dear Emperor, I am soooooo envious!!! Kill this guy! he makes me feel unworthy!
anyway! This one (as all you submitted) is amazing. I love the poses, I adore, when someone draw characters in action! The wings are beautiful! And what about that nice claws? Awwwwww
The poses are great! That swooping hawk really looks like he means business. Is he actually about to air-tackle that scourge? Risky, but awesome! Also I like the wing concept on the Scourge, it looks fittingly bio-mechanical.
they look really great individually, but their poses don't really relate to each other in any dramatic or aggressive way, particularly the Hawk's, with his weapon pointed in the opposite direction. He just looks like the Scourge is about to totally pwn him, rather than the duel the title suggests.
